Media encoder 20229/11/2023 ![]() ![]() I'll walk away from the computer, and when I return, I have my five or six videos waiting for me. For me, I've had to export clips from shows, or multiple videos from Premiere Pro, and I could send all to Media Encoder, and allow them to export together. That's a great start for sure.īeyond that however, I've often found it extremely helpful for those working in the Adobe ecosystem who may have more than one video for export. Overall: I first thought that Media Encoder was a nag because you can encode and export videos from Premiere Pro or After Effects, but as I did more and more video projects, I recognised the value of this particular piece of software.įor starters, it extends the capabilities for exporting from After Effects, or at least zeroes out whatever ignorance I have when it comes to exporting. And Compressor works better on Apple, and Media Encoder is going to work better on Windows operating systems. It's not really a great standalone software, although it can work like that. And then you can actually integrate with Media Encoder. So before switching to Adobe Media Encoder, I do recommend that you use the other Creative Cloud applications like Premier Pro, After Effects. So it is quite difficult to use, but a couple YouTube tutorials should help you out. You have to navigate the top bar menu and look for presets to implement.Īnd you have to search for specific renders that you want to use. But Media Encoder does take some getting used to. I mean, we came from Compressor, which really simplified the UI. Media Encoder was intermediary difficulty. But actually, Media Encoder covers more formats than Compressor does. It really helps you render out the files in a robust software. It links with Premier, After Effects, InDesign. It can link with all the other Adobe Suite products. So we switched to Adobe Media Encoder because of really the dynamic link. But we ultimately ended up switching to Adobe Media Encoder. So we had Final Cut Compressor before we used Media Encoder and both have their trade offs. And I give Adobe Encoder a four out of five. ![]()
